2024 SUBMISSION SEASON – OPEN!
Season 2024 is finally here!
We cannot wait to see what this year will bring.
Best efforts are made to respond to every query that is submitted.
If you have the opportunity to pitch us at a conference or online event, please let us know if your material is already on submission.
If your project is declined, please do not re-query us with a project we’ve already considered (unless requested to do so) without doing substantial revisions.
We only accept queries via email. Do not query via regular mail, phone, or social media.
- Send your query to the email address: query@shockfiction.com
- Begin your subject line with QUERY: title of the manuscript (e.g. QUERY: The Greatest Book of All Time).
- Include:
- a query letter (be sure it includes both genre and word count)
- the first five pages of your manuscript
- a short synopsis (1-2 pages)
- We will not open unsolicited attachments, so send all of the above pasted into the body of the email.
Shock Fiction adheres to the AAR Canon of Ethics, and we do not charge reading or evaluation fees.
